Kate Chan Regional Vice President, Legal Solutions

Kate Chan has over twenty years of experience managing cross-border litigation and internal/regulatory investigations involving data.   This experience covers sectors including financial services, manufacturing, telecommunications, pharmaceutical, airlines, automotive parts, and trading, having advised on a number of multi-jurisdiction matters across Greater China, Japan, Singapore, Southeast Asia, and Australia.   Chan has helped some of the highest-profile law firms, corporations, government agencies, and judiciaries implement and customize the management of evidence through the use of technology in cross-border litigation, regulatory review, and investigations.   These matters involve computer forensics, eDiscovery, document review, managed services contracts, and new technologies across the globe. Serving Epiq's largest clients, she aligns internal resources and workflows, applying industry best practices to meet client needs and ensure successful outcomes. 

Previous Professional Experience

Prior to her role as Regional Vice President at Epiq, Chan was Senior Managing Director at Breakwater Solutions and Ankura.  Notably, she also spent a decade as the Regional Managing Director at Kroll’s Asia Pacific Legal Technologies Practice (now KLDiscovery). Her background also includes time as a practicing lawyer in New York and as an entrepreneur co-founding a technology startup focused on the Asian market.
