NEW YORK – March 3, 2025 – Epiq announced today Jim Tuvell as the new Managing Director of Fireman, an Epiq Company. 

Fireman is a strategic advisory firm providing knowledge management (KM) strategy and data management. Joshua Fireman, who founded Fireman in 2012 and Epiq acquired in 2022, has announced his retirement.

Tuvell, who joined Fireman in 2015, will now lead the team and continue to support enterprise information management and architecting client solutions. The global leadership team, hand-picked by Fireman during his tenure, includes Kieron Champion, Eric Anderson, Mark Denner, and Jennifer Parker. They advise clients on data modernization, document management, knowledge and experience management, the adoption of AI and LegalTech, enterprise search, and lawyer workflows. 

Kate Simpson recently joined the team as Client Engagement Lead. She brings more than 20 years of experience leading KM and practice innovation initiatives. As Chief Knowledge and Innovation Officer at Bennett Jones LLP, she spent the last decade deploying KM and AI practice tools and driving adoption through change management and literacy programs.
