Epiq selected as a finalist for the Legalweek Leaders in Tech Law Awards for third consecutive year
 

NEW YORK – Jan. 17, 2023 – Epiq, a global technology-enabled services leader to the legal industry and corporations, has once again been named a finalist for the Legalweek Leaders in Tech Awards, and Epiq’s Eyal Iffergan has been selected to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award. ALM made the announcement this week, and final winners will be selected and honored at a March 20 ceremony during ALM’s Legalweek conference in New York.
 
The Legalweek Leaders in Tech Law Awards are designed to honor organizations and individuals for their precedent-setting, game-changing achievements in innovation.

Legal Operations
Epiq is once again a finalist in the Legal Operations category, a spot it also earned each year since the competition started three years ago. In 2021, Epiq won the award for helping a global Fortune 50 company with their multi-year global effort to deliver a unified footprint and greater efficiency to their legal operations function.  
 
This year, Epiq’s Legal Business Advisory team is being recognized for its quick work to provide a Fortune 100 tech company with a methodical assessment of the end-to-end management of IP with the goal of transforming their operational capability through process and organizational design. In just 13 months, Epiq guided the client in assessing and executing an ambitious transformation of their IP operations. Undertaking a structured global transformation process of this scope required a three-phase approach with multiple workstreams executing their objectives in parallel.
 
Epiq uncovered that the legal department had the opportunity to realize gains of up to 40 percent in additional capacity per legal team member by improving process and organizational design, leveraging existing technology, and optimizing the balance of internal and external resources. This freed up nearly 800 hours per person, per year to do higher-value work and more proactively manage risk.
 
Lifetime Achievement
