Epiq’s Joel Kammeyer Named a 2024 Contingent Workforce Program Game Changer

Recognized by Staffing Industry Analysts for exemplifying adaptability and perseverance in an evolving world of work

NEW YORK – Sept. 12, 2024 – Epiq is proud to announce that Joel Kammeyer, its Senior Director of Contingent Workforce, has been named one of the 2024 Contingent Workforce (CW) Program Game Changers by Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA), the global research and advisory firm focused on staffing and workforce solutions. The prestigious recognition celebrates leadership, innovation, and commitment to driving positive change in contingent workforce management.

Kammeyer is experienced in building out flexible talent solutions and leading diverse global contingent workforce programs. Some of this work includes program governance, system integrations, risk management, change management, and onboarding and offboarding contingent workers.

“Staffing and workforce solutions are experiencing unprecedented evolution from technology innovations to shifting talent expectations,” Kammeyer said. “I am proud to support Epiq in leading through the transformation in total talent management and showcasing our important flexible workforce strategy for contingent talent. Our contingent workers play a critical role in enabling Epiq’s success while staying agile and pursuing growth.”

Introducing direct sourcing to Epiq’s contingent workforce program is among Kammeyer’s proudest recent achievements, along with leading the transition from an external managed service provider (MSP) to an internally managed program. When it comes to the future, Kammeyer plans to focus on improving the program’s operational efficiency, identifying the best ways to use AI and leveraging Epiq’s employer brand to create the best candidate experience possible.

Epiq currently has 2,700 contingent workers matched with a wide range of contract assignments based on skills, experience, and availability. These workers add to Epiq’s global talent community of 6,200 full time workers across 18 countries. Kammeyer hires for projects in areas such as legal services and class action settlements, and roles range from administrators and call center workers to project managers and attorneys. “When the industry experiences transformation, game changers respond with innovation,” said SIA President Ursula Williams. “From navigating new ways of working to managing completely revolutionized workforces, that innovative mindset is apparent among our 2024 CW Program Game

Changers. Congratulations to SIA’s latest cohort of honorees for taking contingent workforce solutions to a whole new level and into the future of work.”

Kammeyer’s profile is available now on the SIA website and will be featured in SIA’s newsletter, CWS 3.0. Additionally, SIA will recognize this year’s recipients at CSW Summit Nort America Sept. 16 – 17 in Dallas.

Kammeyer joined Epiq in 2019 after working for more than eight years at the Cerner Corporation where he led its contingent workforce team. In 2020, Kammeyer earned Epiq’s annual excellence award, an honor only given to 50 individuals throughout the company. Kammeyer is also an advisory board member for the Direct Collective, a member-based organization dedicated to the CW industry.
