Yuka Ito-Currin has over fifteen years of experience in the eDiscovery and litigation support industry. As a Strategic Client Engagement Director, Yuka oversees the Discovery Health Check program and provides strategic consulting to Epiq’s corporate clients, guiding their legal departments through in-depth assessments of their Discovery processes and procedures and helping them build their Discovery Centers of Excellence.
Prior to joining Epiq, Yuka was an eDiscovery Director at Walmart, leading their global team of eDiscovery professionals and their case management activities in support of litigation, internal investigations, and government investigations, including advisement on collection and culling strategies for structured and unstructured data, analytics use and implementation, and review approaches for complex cases. Yuka was also the eDiscovery Operations Manager at Hunton Andrews Kurth’s litigation support group, overseeing their client services division and developing and implementing cost-effective project protocols.
Yuka received her Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, her Juris Doctor from the University of Richmond School of Law, and her Masters in Decision Analytics from Virginia Commonwealth University. She is licensed to practice law in North Carolina and obtained her Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) US certification from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).
