New York, Nov. 30, 2016 — Epiq, a leading global provider of integrated technology and services for the legal profession, today announced David Rohde, senior director of consulting services, will speak on a panel entitled “Rule 37(e): Fewer Sanctions, More Negotiating,” on Dec. 1, 2016 at 12 p.m. EDT.
“The new FRCP rule 37(e) has led to fewer spoliation sanction decisions in 2016 compared to 2015,” said Rohde. “With a more uniform and clear standard for what warrants electronically stored information (ESI) spoliation sanctions, legal professionals are given upfront the information to protect their organization or client from spoliation sanctions.”
In this webcast, attendees will learn how the courts are currently interpreting this new spoliation standard and get tips for safeguarding their organization from future spoliation sanctions.
Also speaking on the panel are John Facciola, Magistrate Judge (Ret.); District of Columbia; and Joshua Gillialand, Esq., blogger at Bow Tie Law’s Blog. The webcast is part of the second annual eDiscovery Day 2016. Register for the webcast here.
