John Davenport Jr. is the founder and chairman of the board of Epiq. For 20 years, Davenport served as the chief executive officer of Epiq before moving to executive chairman. In 2016, Epiq Systems merged with DTI and the companies rebranded as Epiq, and Davenport continued his role as CEO. Davenport founded DTI in 1998 and under his leadership, DTI was selected as one of the Southeast’s fastest growing privately held companies and he was selected Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young. With more than 25 years of experience in the document outsourcing industry, he has held every position from plant operations to sales and executive management. Davenport attended Winthrop College in Rock Hill, South Carolina, and is an honor graduate of the Marine Corps Recruit Training.
