Epiq Expert to Speak at Electronic Discovery Leadership Summit

Lavinder will speak on a panel entitled, “Using eDiscovery Processes to Manage Cyber Incidents & DSARs,” at 3:15 PM PST on Thursday, October 17. Attendees of this session will learn about:

  • The intersection of discovery, data subject access requests, and data breach response
  • The usefulness of discovery tools repurposed for DSARs and data breach response
  • Finding personal information in unstructured data
  • Differences between California, UK, and EU DSARs

“In today’s legal industry, corporations and law firms have a variety of eDiscovery processes that can be repurposed and used when dealing with a cyber-incident and/or data subject access requests,” said Lavinder. “This session will help attendees learn which processes can help mitigate risk and reduce costs.”

Lavinder has extensive experience in strategy and execution of industry-leading assisted review software tools and is a certified project management professional. He has published numerous articles technology assisted review and remains a leader in best practices in legal technology innovation.
