Leo has nearly 20 years of experience in technology and data solutions, which help organizations tackle broad governance, risk, compliance and legal issues. In Epiq, he leads eDiscovery, legal transformation, and information governance businesses growth in China by helping law firms and large corporations handle multi-jurisdictional disputes and regulations through data, technologies, and workflows. 

His main project experience includes:

• eDiscovery support for high-profile US class actions, antitrust and competition merger reviews, offshore shareholders disputes, regulatory/internal investigations and international arbitrations cases. 

• Data compliance advisory for multinational companies to respond to tasks such as data classifications, privacy compliance, retention and defensible deletion, data loss prevention and protection. He also leads implementation programs through the enablement of technologies such as OneTrust and others for various sectors in China.

Previous Professional Experience

Prior to EPIQ, he led a British technology startup’s business team in Asia, helping financial institutions manage financial crime, data privacy, money laundering and other regulatory risks.

Mr. Chen is an Onetrust certified professional, IAPP Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM), and holds MBA degree from The University of Hong Kong.
