Kosuke Hayakawa is a Senior Director based in Tokyo, Japan. He works day-to-day with key global clients to manage and consult on multiple cross-border eDiscovery projects in Asia and the U.S, and has established himself as an invaluable member of Epiq Japan team. He applies his creative and analytical skills to deliver accurate results and ensure quality client experiences for top law firms in Japan and the U.S. and corporate legal teams in international markets. Mr. Hayakawa has been a Project Manager/Senior Project Manager at Epiq since November 2014 and has over 10 years of industry experience.

Previous Professional Experience

Prior to joining Epiq, he was the project manager at a business consulting company in the U.S., specializing in creating and executing project work plans. He monitored and coordinated the changing needs and requirements between Japanese and American clients from initiation to execution. The projects in which he was involved required extensive knowledge of both the U.S. and Japanese business markets to determine appropriate revenue recognition by preparing accurate engagement reviews and ensuring quality assurance.

Mr. Hayakawa holds a Juris Doctorate from Keio University Law School in Tokyo and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration - Management Information Systems, Cum Laude, from California State University in Long Beach, California.

Mr. Hayakawa is fluent in Japanese, English and Korean, both verbal and written. He completed the Korean Language Program with a scholarship at Yonsei University in Seoul, Korea. He holds an Attorney Assistant Training Program Certificate in Litigation/Corporations from the UCLA Extension. He has earned his Relativity Certified User (RCU) and Relativity Certified Administrator (RCA) credential and also certified as a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).
