Epiq Reviews Large Amounts of Data While Adapting to Changing Environment
- Law Firms
client need
Two law firms representing both parties of a transaction required data collection, processing, hosting and document review in English and French to respond to a 30-day deadline supplementary information request (SIR) from the Canadian Competition Bureau on behalf of their clients.
why Epiq?
Based on prior engagements, both law firms recognized Epiq’s depth of experience working on competition and antitrust matters. Epiq’s best-in-class technology and Document Review teams gave the clients confidence Epiq could meet the challenging deadline successfully.
Epiq solution
With more than 1.3 TB of data between the two clients, Epiq created an internal ethical wall to accommodate hosting and review of both firms’ data. Data was collected remotely, processed into separate databases and Continuous Active Learning (CAL) workflows were implemented. Epiq met the deadline for both clients despite the outbreak of the pandemic amid the document review process.
