In reaction to the anticipated spike in enforcement efforts, Erin Toomey, co-leader of the global investigations practice group at legal services firm Epiq in Washington, D.C., reported that more companies are looking to strengthen their compliance programs, reported Law360.

"Companies, counsel, and their compliance teams need to have a clear understanding of their data and employee behavior in order to act swiftly in responding to allegations," she said. "We're hearing from a number of clients who want to include more technology and AI into their compliance programs which allow them to respond quickly."
