Michael Yuen is a director based in Hong Kong and oversees Epiq’s review teams in the APAC/Australia region, including Mainland China, Hong Kong, Japan, and Australia, to provide review services to law firm, banking, corporate, and other clients. He supervises the review managers in managing the review teams’ day-to-day operation and providing quality controls over the review deliverables. Michael works closely with clients and external counsel to accomplish their eDiscovery objectives by utilizing technologies and robust processes. In addition, he develops business plans for expanding Epiq’s review services’ regional presence as well as creating new professional service offerings.
Yuen has around 9 years of experience working on ediscovery projects related to regulatory investigations, internal investigations, litigation, and arbitrations, involving matters that include, but are not limited to financial and banking investigations; securities laws violations; bribery / corruption investigations; anti-competition law investigations; and international litigation and arbitrations.

PREVIOUS PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Yuen practiced law as a trial lawyer and a litigator in California before joining Epiq. His areas of practice included commercial litigation, contract disputes, labor and employment, intellectual property, civil rights litigation, corporate election disputes, and real property litigation. He has extensive experience in evidentiary analysis in the contexts of both pretrial discovery processes and trial advocacy.EDUCATION/LANGUAGE/CERTIFICATION
Yuen holds a Juris Doctor degree from Pepperdine University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Berkeley. He is admitted to practice law in the State of California and the United States District Court for the Central District of California. He is fluent in English and Chinese (simplified and traditional) and holds the Relativity Analytics Specialist certificate and the Relativity Review Management Specialist certificate.
