Gayle Morgan is the General Manager for Epiq in New Zealand and has been with the company since 2010. She is responsible for managing the Epiq New Zealand Court Reporting team, which comprises in house transcription and quality control teams, and external contractors. As well as being an experienced people manager, Morgan has expertise in quality assurance and training – particularly in transcription and editorial work. The New Zealand Court Reporting team provides transcription services to a wide range of international clients. She works closely with clients to understand their requirements so that the finished products exceed their expectations.
In the UK, she was the Editorial Manager for an international publisher, where she led a team that comprised both in-house staff and external freelancers. As well as being responsible for editorial decisions and ensuring the quality of the finished products, her additional focus was on improving workflow and streamlining processes to improve efficiency and output.
Previous Professional Experience
Prior to joining Epiq, Morgan worked as a freelance copy writer and editor for literary material in both the UK and NZ.In the UK, she was the Editorial Manager for an international publisher, where she led a team that comprised both in-house staff and external freelancers. As well as being responsible for editorial decisions and ensuring the quality of the finished products, her additional focus was on improving workflow and streamlining processes to improve efficiency and output.
Education
Holds a Bachelor of Arts Hons degree in English from the University of Hull in the UK.
